Channing Tatum has undergone surgery for a shoulder injury

The 45-year-old actor has revealed he's been in hospital for a procedure after separating his shoulder, and he admitted the recovery will be "hard".

He posted x-rays of his separated shoulder and one with a screw in place on his Instagram Story.

Channing also posted a black and white photo of himself in bed wearing a hospital gown, and wrote: "Just another day. Another challenge.

"This one is gonna be hard. But whatever. Let's get it in."

The Hollywood star did not confirm when the injury occurred, and it's not known if it's related to him getting hurt in the set of Avengers: Doomsday last summer.

In an interview with Variety published in September 2025, Channing revealed he was out of action and facing a long recovery.

With his legs outstretched, he said: "It's not about the pain I feel in the moment.

"It's knowing I can't take this back. And now I know what the next six months of my life will be like."

He admitted that it was also difficult to accept that he's aging.

He added: "I just hate getting old. In my mind, I'm literally 30 years old - 26, if I'm honest."

Channing - who will be reprising his Deadpool and Wolverline role as Gambit in Doomsday - isn't the only person to get hurt on the set of the upcoming Marvel blockbuster.

Alan Cumming (Nightcrawler) recently revealed he accidentally injured Mr Fantastic actor Pedro Pascal on set.

During an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the host asked The Traitors US host what fans could expect from Nightcrawler in Avengers: Doomsday.

He replied: "All of [the X-Men cast] are in it, too.

"What was funny was that in my first scene with Pedro, he hurt his neck and had to go home. I broke Pedro."

Alan insisted the mishap did not take place during a fight scene, and was simply a production slip-up.

He explained: "No, I wasn't fighting. No, no. I was just, sort of, being ... we were just together in a scene, and I wasn't fighting, no.

"He's got these big long arms and everything, so it's quite complicated. I do have a tail, but I didn't have my tail on at the time. Pedro didn't have his arms on either."
