    One person has died following a hit-and-run in Southland's Te Anau today


    Police were alerted to the crash involving a car and pedestrian about 8:45am.

    They say the driver of the vehicle involved left the scene.

    They would like to speak with anyone who witnessed the crash or has dashcam footage of it - including the moments beforehand.
