Peter Crouch and his wife Abbey Clancy share so many details of their relationship on their podcast that he gets confused when fans tell him details of his own private life

The 44-year-old retired England footballer and model Abbey, 39, have amassed a huge fan base for their podcast The Therapy Crouch on which they discuss each other's foibles and their family life at their Surrey home with their four children, Sophia, 14, Liberty, 10, Johnny, seven, and Jack, six

Regular segments such as "Ask Me Anything" and "Weekly Whines" feature the couple revealing all about their relationship and Peter feels as though the lines between his private life and public life are getting blurred.

But he believes it is his and Abbey's openness and shared sense of humour that has brought so many listeners to the pod.

Speaking to BANG Showbiz, Peter said: "The podcast I do with Abbey we forget what's real and what we've said on the podcast now. People will say stuff and I'll be like, 'How do you know that?' I forget that we've spoke about it.

"We record it at home and we're so open and honest I think that's why it's gained a lot of traction. It's exciting at the moment."

Peter enjoys the "Weekly Whines" segment where he and Abbey, 39, share a complaint about the other.

The former Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool player says by far the most annoying thing about Abbey is her quest for the perfect house, which involves endless home improvement projects.

He said: "The thirst for decorating is probably the biggest thing. Just when we're settled we'll just re-do every room in the house, we'll have builders round. That's the biggest bugbear of mine. But I wouldn't have it any other way."

As well as The Therapy Crouch Podcast, Crouchie also hosts football and entertainment show That Peter Crouch Podcast and he has big plans for the pod during the 2026 FIFA World Cup in America.

He said: "I'm hoping to do stuff for the World Cup in America.

"The Peter Crouch Podcast has been strong for a long time now. We've done so much, we've met Elton John, Rod Stewart, various footballers, it's been so amazing."

From Saturday (18.10.25). Crouchie can next be seen in a new Paddy Power advert along with Danny Dyer, Gemma Collins, Coleen Rooney which gives the Ocean's franchise a run for its money.

Swapping the Queen Vic for the bright lights of Las Vegas, the tongue-in-cheek campaign sees former EastEnders actor Dyer front and centre as a casino kingpin, dripping in swagger as he walks through a larger-than-life Paddy Power world. With his no-nonsense charm, he welcomes viewers into Paddy Power Games' outrageously over-the-top casino universe that features "all sorts of games for all sorts of treacles".

Recalling filming the advert, Crouchie said: "I've done a few Paddy Power ads before, but this one was next-level fun. Sitting there in a casino, watching Danny Dyer play the boss, it was absolute madness, and I felt like I'd stepped into an Ocean's movie - except with far more laughs and far less chance of getting thrown out - well maybe not if you'd seen the chaos! I had an absolute ball filming it with a stellar line up of people - I bet no-one every thought they would see me, the GC, Danny Dyer and Coleen Rooney in an advert together!"

Crouchie loves his work with Paddy Power as he never knows what's coming next.

He said: "The other day I was with Paddy Power playing American football! I'm doing random things every day and I'm loving every minute of it."

Danny Dyer takes you into the wonderful world of Paddy Power casino alongside Coleen Rooney, Gemma Collins and Peter Crouch for a new Games Advert, airing from October 18 across TV and online.
