A prominent businessman charged with breaching suppression in the Grace Millane murder trial has been granted suppression himself

A prominent businessman charged with breaching suppression in the Grace Millane murder trial has been granted suppression himself

The 63-year-old Aucklander allegedly breached the order on November 22, the day a 28-year-old man was found guilty of murdering the British backpacker.

Reporter Chelsea Daniels says often people don't understand the consequences.

She says it can damage future trial prospects.

The man was due to appear in Court today, but that's been rescheduled for early next month.
