Some concern about the effects of changes to University Entrance for students due to Covid-19

Some concern about the effects of changes to University Entrance for students due to Covid-19

This year the number of credits students require in each of their three UE approved subjects has been reduced from 14 to 12.

Universities New Zealand chief executive Chris Whelan says there's a concern some won't be up to university.

He says the whole point of UE is to make sure students who achieve it are ready - and there's a chance there'll be a small number of students who might get it who wouldn't have otherwise.
