Police have released more details about checkpoints in Northland

Police have released more details about checkpoints in Northland

There will be one on State Highway 1 at Uretiti near Waipu, and one near Maungaturoto near State Highway 12.

They'll be in place when Auckland's borders lift next Wednesday and Tai Tokerau border control will help check vaccine passes or negative test proof.

The Waipu Business Group's Bruce Larsen hopes it will be a minor disruption - like being pulled over to do a breath test then continuing.
