Another primary school's on the way for one of the country's fastest growing districts

Another primary school's on the way for one of the country's fastest growing districts

Education Minister Erica Stanford's announced Rolleston South Primary School will open in the Selwyn district in 2026, with an initial roll of 250 places.

It will be able to fit 700 pupils, with the potential to expand further to accommodate one-thousand students.

Erica Stanford says the new school will address the growing demands on South Canterbury's school network.

She says it's one of three new schools being delivered in this year's Budget.
