A recount of a rescue yesterday on Auckland's Manukau Bar

Bimal Parma Samy died when a boat capsized and sank at Little Huia yesterday morning.

Fishermen plucked Samy and six others from the water.

Fisher, Nick, says they were about the fourth boat on the scene - and picked up the last person in trouble.

He says the man had no energy, but they were able to get him over the back of the boat - before letting Coastguard know they had everyone who was still alive.
