New South Wales Parliament's passed tougher gun laws in the wake of the Bondi Beach terror attack

Fifteen people were killed and more than 40 others injured when two gunmen opened fire during a Jewish Hanukkah celebration on the beach.
Under the new legislation, recreational licence holders can possess a maximum of four firearms, with licences reviewed every two years.
NSW Premier Chris Minns says setting up and funding a buyback registry will take some time to implement.
He says they're currently looking at other areas of the law that are required to confront hate speech. 12-25-25 1306
