    Central Otago is today moving to a prohibited fire season


    Fire and Emergency has banned all outdoor fires until further notice.

    District Manager Craig Gold says while it's been a slow start to summer, the region's grasslands are very dry and the fire risk has been slowly but steadily increasing.
