An early visit from The Grinch for many All Blacks - with Ford set to end their sponsorship of New Zealand Rugby

An early visit from The Grinch for many All Blacks - with Ford set to end their sponsorship of New Zealand Rugby

    Elijah Fa'afiu has the details.

Ford have confirmed to the Herald that they'll end their 30-year partnership with NZR on January 31.

It means sponsored vehicles being used by All Blacks, All Blacks coaches and Super Rugby coaches must be returned before that date.

The news has come as a shock to many players - who weren't planning on having to hand back their vehicles in the New Year.

It comes after NZR boss Mark Robinson this week hinted at another sponsorship change - with Steinlager not featuring in the release of dates and venues for the July series against France.
