The stabilisation and repair of a wastewater pipe in Raglan is expected to be complete today, follow yesterday's delays

The stabilisation and repair of a wastewater pipe in Raglan is expected to be complete today, follow yesterday's delays

A pipe delivering treated wastewater into Raglan Harbour was found with a failure in one of its bend - causing erosion to the surrounding sand dune.

Waikato District Council says it couldn't be fixed yesterday as planned because of the stability of the sand supporting it.

It says the wastewater treatment plan has 48 hours of storage capacity - meaning no emergency discharge is required.
