    Government, industry and consumer groups are joining forces to take on financial scammers


    The Commerce and Consumer Affairs Minister, has announced the New Zealand Anti-Scam Alliance.

    Scott Simpson, says the alliance establishes a formal structure for government agencies, banks, telcos, digital platforms, and consumer groups to share data about scams - and shut them down in real-time.

    Simpson says scams could be costing the economy up to two billion dollars a year.
