    The Formula One driver is auctioning off one of his first vehicles for the I Am Hope Foundation charity on Trade Me.

    He has been tinkering under the bonnet of the 2000 Subaru Forester for a while, as well as taking another step to establish provenance.



    The car has 234-thousand kilometres on the clock.

    Bidding sits at $30,800 and ends at 7pm Friday.
