    News Talk ZB Sport -

Bobby Joe Morrow, the American sprinter who won three gold medals in the 1956 Melbourne Olympics while still a college student, has died aged 84.

Morrow won the 100 and 200 metres and anchored the US 400m relay team to victory in Melbourne.

It was the most dominant performance by an American sprinter at an Olympic Games since Jesse Owens 20 years earlier.

Morrow was honoured as Sportsman of the Year by Sports Illustrated.

New Zealand Breakers owner Matt Walsh is happy with a slightly later start date for the Australian NBL.

League boss Harry Kestelman announced the league is likely to start after the NRL and AFL finals which are set to wrap up in late October, in order to avoid clashing.

Walsh says the move primarily comes down to giving fans live sport.
