The travel bubble is a much bigger deal for our economy..

Two way, quarantine free travel between here and Australia starts next Monday.

HSBC Chief Economist Paul Bloxam says it's going to be a key support for growth in New Zealand.

He says Australians normally spend about 60 billion dollars on international travel every year

Bloxam says you take 10 per cent of that and pushed it over to New Zealand it would be about one and a half per cent of our GDP -- which is a hefty amount.
