A new pay deal is on the table for Wellington bus drivers to consider

A new pay deal is on the table for Wellington bus drivers to consider

Tramways Union has been negotiating with NZ Bus for nearly three weeks, mediated by Greater Wellington Regional Council.

Drivers walked off the job for 24 hours last month, prompting NZ Bus to issue a lockout notice, which was deemed illegal.

Tramways Union spokesman Kevin O'Sullivan says drivers have a week to think - before a stop work meeting next Thursday.

It will affect services between 9am and 3pm.
