A police pursuit in Auckland, involving at least five young people

A witness has told Newstalk ZB he nearly got run into on the Te Atatu on-ramp, by a Subaru Legacy station wagon, which had done a u-turn on the Northwestern motorway.

It was being chased by two or three police cars.

The witness says the car's tyres had been destroyed by spikes, and it was on its rims.

A photograph sent by the witness shows five young people in handcuffs, sitting on the curb, surrounded by eight police officers and four patrol cars.
