    A scene examination is underway in central Christchurch following a serious assault overnight


    A man was found with serious injuries at the Countdown carpark on Moorhouse Avenue around two - and remains in a critical condition in hospital.

    Police are trying to establish what happened - and asking anyone with information to come forward.
