Auckland's boundary is set to become a distant memory

Auckland's boundary is set to become a distant memory

It was in place for months last year... buying the rest of the country time to prepare for delta.

Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern says regional boundaries aren't part of the traffic light system.

She says that's because Omicron moves at pace - so we are better to focus energy on things that will make a difference, such as mask use, social distancing and reducing gathering sizes.
