Hayden Wilde's capped off the calendar year with a win at the triathlon world championship finals in Spain

He's stormed to victory by one minute and two seconds across the Olympic distance, after being 10 seconds adrift out of the water.

His rival Alex Yee finished third - which was enough for him to become world champion.

    Wilde's summed up his emotions.
