    A recent serious dog attack in Auckland is highlighting the extent of the issue


    A girl was left scarred after she was attacked in a Titirangi Park last month.

    Auckland Council spokesman Robert Irvine says dogs going off leash at sports fields is an increasingly big problem.

    He says the council has a squad that can respond within the hour for serious cases.
