    Rory McIlroy is brushing off Bryson DeChambeau's comment about the pair not speaking during the final round of golf's Masters tournament last month


    After the Northern Irishman clinched a career grand slam with victory at Augusta - playing partner for the final round DeChambeau noted that McIlroy didn't talk once to him all day.

    With the opening round of the year's second major, the PGA Championship, looming at Quail Hollow overnight tonight - McIlroy's responded to the American's comment for the first time.



    McIlroy tees off at 22 minutes past midnight NZ time - in an all-star group alongside Scottie Scheffler and Xander Schauffele .

    Ryan Fox is in the second group away at 11.05pm.
