Kourtney Kardashian thinks the school system is "dated"

The 46-year-old star - who has Mason, 15, Penelope, 12, and 10-year-old Reign with former partner Scott Disick and 18-month-old Rocky with husband Travis Barker - is open to the idea of home educating her brood because she no longer sees the point in sending them into a classroom

Appearing on her sister Khloe Kardashian's 'Khloe in Wonder Land' podcast, the pair reflected on a time when they, along with third sister Kim Kardashian, were feuding, which Kourtney felt was partly because she had started therapy and setting boundaries.

She said: "I would..kind of started challenging the ways that we did things, sometimes the way that we just all function...

"Well, I feel like I love to just go against the grain, I think."

Asked if she pushes back just to be different, she replied: "No, I think living authentically is not conforming to whatever it is.

"For me, there's so many ways. There's ways we function as a family that...it's like if someone does the same thing every day. Like I do it with everything, it's not about our family.

"Like, let's say the school system. I'll think, 'Why do kids f****** go to school?' Truly. It's so dated."

Khloe agreed: "Oh, I'm such a homeschool person. So don't even get me going."

The Poosh founder admitted children have sent her videos from "successful people" whose kids don't go to school.

She added: "And then I'm like, 'What's the goal here? You want to do homeschool? Let's do it!' Or whatever it is. I think it's anything."

Kourtney also favours "nursing" her children when they are ill instead of treating them with medication.

She continued: "I will like nurse the fever of my kids versus giving Tylenol or ibuprofen. I just want to do that. And whatever it is, there's so many things like that where I feel like I kinda do, maybe in the world generally does maybe more what I do, but in the United States [it's different]."

Travis is also dad to Landon, 21, Alabama, 19, and stepdaughter Atiana, 25, from his marriage to Shanna Moakler, and the 'Kardashians' star believes their blended family has given them a "deeper" existence.

She said: "I love my role as stepmom, because I don't feel like its up to me to discipline.

"We've kind of allowed each other to-we'll talk about it, he can handle the harder things. I definitely give advice or try to be a good role model.

"Some days I've thought like, 'Wow, this is really hard blending families.' But even in the days that are hard, there's so much more love. It's such a deeper, richer existence."
