    An expert says the economy is failing to gain momentum


    Stats NZ figures for GDP in quarter two will be released this morning.

    BNZ Chief Economist Mike Jones is predicting a 0.5 percent fall.

    He says there's a lot of things which usually promote growth which aren't happening.

    Jones says we're not seeing booming migration or increasing house prices.
