Police have arrested the rider of a stolen trail bike, after a series of crackdowns in Rotorua

It's the ninth bike stolen and third arrest in the region, but Police are optimistic they're on top of the problem.

Senior Sergeant John Stapleford says bike offences have decreased 90 percent since the police operation began.

A 33-year-old man will appear in Rotorua District Court next week.
