Restaurant Brands' independent directors have recommended a below-valuation takeover offer from majority owner Mexico's Finaccess

They say the risks linked to retaining a stake in the fast-food company outweigh the offer price.
Business Desk reports the directors recommend shareholders accept five-dollars-and-five-cents-a-share from Finaccess .
An independent valuation landed on five-dollars-24, to six-dollars-20.
Restaurant Brands operates KFC, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell and Carl's Junior in New Zealand; KFC and Taco Bell in Australia, and some US and Pacific outlets.
