Waikato residents are being urged to take advantage of the holiday break to get vaccinated

Waikato residents are being urged to take advantage of the holiday break to get vaccinated

There are 109 new cases of Covid-19 in the community in New Zealand today ... most are in Auckland and there are two in Northland.

Four of today's cases are in Waikato, with two of those reported yesterday as being in Otorohanga.

Just over four thousand 800 tests were processed in the region yesterday ... while vaccinations dropped to 939.

Health officials say this is expected as there are fewer sites operating ... but they still want people to take advantage of the public holiday.

Meanwhile, 87 percent of eligible New Zealanders have received one vaccine dose.
