Shane Jones was preparing to release a freight strategy for the upper North Island tomorrow - but has been taken to hospital today

It's not known whether that will delay the release.

New Zealand First leader Winston Peters believes Jones might be suffering from exhaustion.

Shortly before he was seen in a wheelchair, Jones told reporters the announcement - which also looks at Port of Auckland's future - is significant.
