Pharmac is warning an oral contraceptive is in dangerously short supply

Pharmac is warning an oral contraceptive is in dangerously short supply

Brevinor-1 28-Day is likely to run out this month - and be out of stock until mid-October.

About nine-thousand Kiwis use the funded combined birth control pill.

Director of Operations Lisa Williams says they haven't found a chemically equivalent medicine to bring into New Zealand.

People who take Brevinor-1 28 Day are advised to discuss alternative contraception with their doctor.
