Police are still working out the origin and destination of 450-thousand-dollars worth of methamphetamine found near a crashed vehicle north of Masterton

The speeding vehicle had earlier failed to stop for Police on State Highway Two, it was found crashed in a shallow culvert near Mount Bruce a few minutes later.

The drugs and cash were nearby.

Two people, a 21-year-old man and a 22-year-old woman, have been charged with possession of methamphetamine for supply.
