Jacinda Ardern is pushing back against claims made about her by her former Deputy Prime Minister

Jacinda Ardern is pushing back against claims made about her by her former Deputy Prime Minister

Winston Peters over the weekend accused Labour Ministers of deliberately keeping He Puapua from NZ First colleagues.

The independent working group document discusses how to realise the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples.

That report, Peters says, was a recipe for Maori separatism - which is why Labour didn't want NZ First anywhere near it.

Jacinda Ardern, however, says she has no recollection of withholding the report.

She says she usually recalls papers that were unable to progress through Cabinet, and says He Puapua was not one of those.
