A political marketing expert says it'll be a problem for Chris Luxon if he just focuses on business

The former Air New Zealand boss is promising to become the Prime Minister of Business as National's new leader.

Auckland University's Jennifer Lees-Marshment says during the pandemic people have thought more about their health and quality of life.

She says that's not to say the economy isn't important, but National already has that business brand.

Lees-Marshment says what they need is a leader who's going to look at the other issues.

She says it's not a good idea for Luxon to be focusing just on business at the moment, he needs to be focusing on people and their quality of life.
