The Coroner has concluded a six-year-old girl was fatally run over by her neighbour - who panicked and accidentally drove over her a second time

The Coroner has concluded a six-year-old girl was fatally run over by her neighbour - who panicked and accidentally drove over her a second time

Ian Telford's report published today describes how Terase Wylie was playing on an electric scooter on the shared driveway in Waikato's Tuakau in October 2023.

Neighbour Ashmita Chandra reversed her car down the driveway and when Terase's mother ran to the vehicle - Chandra unwittingly drove over the girl a second time.

The accident traumatised Terase's family so badly they moved from the area to Taranaki to avoid any further contact with their neighbour.
