Chelsea have marched into the quarter-finals of football's Club World Cup in the United States with a 4-1 extra time win over Benfica in the round of 16

The match was halted in the 86th minute due to storms in the Charlotte area - with Benfica levelling from a penalty goal after a near two hour delay to send the match to extra time.

But the Portuguese side lost a man to a red card early in extra time before Chelsea banged in four goals in the second-half of extra time.

Chelsea meet Chelsea face Brazilian side Palmeiras for a spot in the semi-finals.
