Wheels are in motion to begin major upgrades to one of Christchurch's busiest roads

Wheels are in motion to begin major upgrades to one of Christchurch's busiest roads

The Transport Agency is putting 150-million-dollars towards improving Brougham Street - State Highway 76.

The upgrades will include T2 lanes - for vehicles carrying more than one person, as well as a new pedestrian and cycle bridge over the road.

Brougham Street carries more than 45-thousand vehicles a day, and is also the main freight route to Lyttelton port.
