Liam Gallagher says that the Oasis reunion tour has "saved (his) life"

The 53-year-old rocker has given up cigarettes and alcohol to protect his voice on the Oasis Live '25 Tour and he is glad to have quit his vices because he knows how much the gigs mean to fans of the Supersonic band.

When asked by a fan on X if he missed booze and cigarettes, Liam replied: "Oasis saved my life. It's about time I sorted my nappa out. I know how much this means to people so stopping and snorting Gary baldies are sacrifices that needed to be made."

He signed off the message with the phrase "thems the rules MCFC" - a nod to his favourite football team Manchester City.

When quizzed by another follower if he misses the "occasional Guinness", Liam wrote: "Yeah I miss talking absolute b******* when I'm bladdered."

The tour marks the first time that Liam has performed alongside his older brother Noel Gallagher following a 16-year feud and Richard Ashcroft - who opened for the Wonderwall rockers during the UK concerts - praised the frontman's "discipline" during the shows.

The 54-year-old musician told The Independent newspaper last month: "It's a bit like if there's stuff going on within your family ...The beautiful thing about it is, Liam's discipline is amazing.

"I don't think he's allowing himself to be in any situations where he can go off track or whatnot. Noel seems to be in a really good space. The whole band seems to be. They're blown away by it, I reckon, without having had too many massive conversations about it. In life, stories generally don't [have] this incredible coda."

Meanwhile, Liam reportedly skipped Noel's end-of-tour party at London's Chiltern Firehouse following September's gig at Wembley Stadium to protect his vocal cords.

A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper at the time: "Liam and Noel had both been planning to throw a party for the final night of the UK tour but Liam's decided to have a low-key celebration with Debbie instead.

"They're planning an early-ish night because he can't afford to get ill or for his voice to be damaged. Meanwhile, Noel is going all out and throwing a party at his beloved Chiltern Firehouse."
