Cat Deeley's hair "thinned" after she contracted COVID-19

The 49-year-old presenter has turned to specialist treatments for her locks in order to help her tresses feel fuller again.

She told Britain's HELLO! magazine: "I keep up my appointments with Chad Maxwell, who cuts and colours my hair and somehow emulates the lightening effects of sunshine.

"I felt as though my hair thinned when I had Covid-19, so I've been taking Hair Vitality shots.

"And I love K18's Airwash Dry Shampoo for thickening my roots."

Cat praised the work of "magician" Sophia Aziza, who she sees regularly to tame her brows.

She said:" The beauty pros I always book in with include Sophia Aziza, who is a magician and somehow makes my brows thicker and beautifully groomed".!

While she likes a "clean, polished" nail, Cat doesn't always visit a salon.

She said: "I prefer clean, polished nails - sometimes salon, sometimes DIY, but usually in a natural colour that hides a multitude of sins."

The This Morning star admitted maintaining her grooming habits regularly allow her to spend less time day to day on her appearance.

She said: "I definitely look after my skin more than I used to.

"The approach that seems to work for me is to be occasionally high-maintenance, so I can be low-maintenance most of the time.

"I'm always short on time, so if my skin, hair, nails and brows are all in good shape, I need minimal make-up and effort."

    Cat has embraced "positive ageing".

She said: "Getting older is a privilege and I really like the person I am - and the one I'm becoming.

"I feel comfortable in my own skin; I like the way my face looks and don't want to look any different, just the best version of me.

    "Individuality should be celebrated.

"I love that there's only one me and one you.

"I know what suits me and I have a healthy body that lets me enjoy life and chase after my two boys.

"For me, the best version of myself is simply the healthiest one."
