New Zealander's vastly prefer in-person GP visits - despite the convenience of telehealth options

The General Practice Owners Association's found in-person consultations are the leading choice for 87 percent of patients surveyed.
Chair Dr Angus Chambers says that's especially the case for those needing physical examinations or care for new health concerns.
He says digital tools have a place - but there needs to be more investment in better access to GP services.
Chambers says telehealth's been funded generously as a kind of stop-gap - when that investment could have been made in general practice.
