Police say they have disrupted a crime syndicate using the dark web to import and distribute drugs throughout the country

Police say they have disrupted a crime syndicate using the dark web to import and distribute drugs throughout the country

They say Operation Solana has been dialled in on nine-months of activities - including the importing of meth, cocaine, MDMA, and ketamine.

Police have made 11 arrests across 16 search warrants in Auckland and Hamilton yesterday and today.

Drugs have been seized along with half a million dollars in cash and three firearms.

The group, aged between 24 and 42, face charges relating to drug smuggling, firearm possession, and involvement in an organised crime group.
