Labour MP Louisa Wall has withdrawn from the party's selection battle for the Manurewa seat

Labour MP Louisa Wall has withdrawn from the party's selection battle for the Manurewa seat

Her withdrawal came late last night ahead of today's challenge for the seat, which will now be contested between Ian Dunwoodie and lawyer Arena Williams.

She will instead seek a position on the Labour party list at this year's election.

Wall is best known for getting the marriage equality bill passed into law, being the chair of the health select committee, and representing New Zealand in netball and rugby.
