Aucklanders are being urged to keep shower times down

Aucklanders are being urged to keep shower times down

Heavy rain over the weekend did little to improve Auckland's dam levels... which only increased by one percent.

Watercare chief executive Raveen Jaduram says the region is still very much in drought.

He says Aucklanders need to continue conserving water, regardless of the season.

He's asking people to maintain short, four minute showers, and to fill up dishwashers and washing machines before they're turned on.
