New Covid-19 testing sites are being opened on Auckland's North Shore, as patrons at one pub are told to self isolate

New Covid-19 testing sites are being opened on Auckland's North Shore, as patrons at one pub are told to self isolate

A person who visited The Malt pub in Greenhithe last Friday night later tested positive.

Auckland Regional Public Health is operating a pop-up testing site -- at North Wainoni Park, on Churchouse Road in Greenhithe -- until 4.30pm today.

A community testing centre has also been set up at North Care Accident and Medical, off Constellation Drive in Rosedale -- which will operate from 8am to 5pm daily.

The Health Service says most people in the pub are considered casual contacts, but are still being asked to get tested and isolate as soon as possible.

The infected pub patron is one of two community cases announced yesterday -- alongside 23 new cases in managed isolation.
