A step in the right direction for the Cook Islands, with travellers from Rarotonga soon fly into New Zealand without the need for quarantine

There's be two flights a week from the Islands, from January 21st.

Passengers going back will need to have a negative Covid-19 test, within 96 hours of flying.

It's a far cry from a travel bubble, but Cooks Prime Minister Mark Brown says it's part of a phased approach.

He says there's no doubt the Islands will be pleased to receive New Zealand visitors again, as their economy has struggled for ten months.
