Hugh Jackman has urged his fans to get a yearly skin cancer check

The ‘Logan’ star recently attended his annual check-up and has told all his followers on Instagram to make an appointment with their doctor to have their skin tested, especially if they skipped out on suncream when they were younger

He said in an Instagram video: “I recommend getting a skin check — regularly. I know I’ve said it before, I know I may be boring you with this, but it’s super easy to do and it’s really, really important to be preemptive with these things.

“If you’re like me and you didn’t really know any better when you were young and you didn’t wear sunscreen and you were in the Australian sun, then you need to get a check up even more. But if not — it doesn’t matter who you are — next time you are with your doctor or with a specialist, just say, ‘Can you please give me a skin check?’ At least once a year — just do it.”

And Hugh, 52, also admitted he had to have a small “pre-cancerous” growth removed from his earlobe.

He added: “I just had mine done. I have a little biopsy, it’s pre-cancerous. It’s not much, but I’m really, really glad I went.”

Meanwhile, Hugh previously said he is a “boring” person.

The actor believes his wife, Deborra-Lee Furness, is an "awesome" partner for him because she makes him have fun when things are getting too serious.

He said: "I'm kind of a little like my dad in that way.

"Things can become very serious: This is what we need to do.

"I can just be a little serious and a little boring. Actually, Deb will kind of say that to me.

"She'll be like, 'Hello, hello? Come on, we can have some fun here!' She's awesome for me."
