Police investigating three serious assaults in Christchurch say more arrests are likely after today's raid on the King Cobras gang pad

Police investigating three serious assaults in Christchurch say more arrests are likely after today's raid on the King Cobras gang pad

Police raided several addresses linked to the gang this morning - including their "pad", known as the Snake Pit Boxing Gym, in Middleton.

Three men are now facing charges of assault and participating in an organised criminal group.

Detective Senior Sergeant Colin Baillie says the assaults on innocent members of the public took place outside a bar on Victoria Street.

He says one victim, a young father, suffered a serious brain injury and will likely have lifelong injuries.
