New Zealand could be a step further to becoming a major player on the world's tech stage

New Zealand could be a step further to becoming a major player on the world's tech stage

Amazon Web Services is planning to establish a cloud hub in Auckland -- which could create a thousand jobs, and add 10.8-billion-dollars to our GDP over the next 15 years.

Tech commentator Paul Brislen says there was once a time when all of our data was stored offshore.

He says having it here means being able to access the services quicker and retaining ownership of the data in New Zealand.
