A New Zealand bank is not committing to remaining in local ownership

Major banks have fronted on the Parliament's inquiry into competition in the sector.
MPs are hearing Australian-owned banks able to access more capital are faring better than Kiwi counterparts.
TSB Bank Director Mark Darrow says the question of ownership lies with shareholders - but there is value in being locally owned.
He says they are profitable but are not getting reasonable returns.
