A former Kiwis captain believes a teen's death may not stop people from participating in 'run it straight' events

A former Kiwis captain believes a teen's death may not stop people from participating in 'run it straight' events

Ryan Satterthwaite has died after a private version of the game in Palmerston North.

The 19-year-old suffered a serious brain injury on Sunday and died in hospital on Monday.

A championship league final has since been blocked from Auckland's Trusts Arena.

But Richie Barnett says he thinks these events will continue.

He says they're within the rules of play - and believes things like base jumping and horse riding are more dangerous.
