The Education Minister says current NCEA students shouldn't let incoming qualification changes put a dampener on their own education

The Education Minister says current NCEA students shouldn't let incoming qualification changes put a dampener on their own education

The Government wants to scrap the current high school qualifications system, in favour of a literacy and numeracy test in year 11 - and certificates the two years after.

The first changed cohort are now in year 8.

Erica Stanford says NCEA is still a great qualification, and students currently completing it should feel proud of their achievements.
